I'm Maik, a game designer and 3D artist from Munich, Germany. I've always been fascinated by fictional worlds, leading me to study design and animation. In my Master's, I specialized in game development, passionately designing game worlds. For my thesis, I developed an online collectible card game featuring Greek mythology, which I succesfully showcased at the 2024 GG Bavaria games fair.
I’ve gained extensive experience in 3D modeling, UV mapping, lighting, shading, and rendering in Maya and Arnold. Additionally, I’ve worked intensively with Substance Designer and Painter, and with Unreal Engine 5. I also stay current with technological advancements and have effectively integrated cutting-edge AI tools into my creative workflow.
Besides my professional work, I'm a dedicated gamer who stays updated with new releases and has a passion for strategic fantasy games. I also love to travel the world, drawing inspiration from various cultures, with a special interest in East Asian culture.
